Easy drive. Pam overtook slower cars and a caravan. The big roadhouse here (at Kulgera) is a stop for roadtrains, four wheel drives coming off the Simpson Desert and also normal people. The Desert's shut from December to March, because temperatures can reach over 50, and people can die, as well as those trying to rescue them. From here it’s a short hop to Ayers Rock. (I don't think I'll ever think of the drive from Warragul to Berwick as a long one again.)
