Day 1: 2/07/2009 Home to Beaufort

Packed in morning before leaving as we had no time day before. Rain and high wind all the way. Nice caravan park in Beaufort, where we arrived with over a litre of fuel. It might be an idea to learn to look at the gauge occasionally before we get further north. Met Pete the Kenworth loom maker in pub and had a nice chat. Shaq and Matilda ran off from Kevin’s causing much excitement. Shaq found wandering on Monash Rd. after much work and worry on the kids' part. Temporarily living at home with Geoff/ Liz. If this continues we expect to find the heater on and dry dog turds on our return in September.
