Day 46, 16 August 2009, Broome

After the crocodile excitement yesterday we required a rest day.

Visited the two main shopping centres in Broome. The newer one's like any other anywhere in Australia. Target, Woolies, Coles New World, a newsagent etc. The one in the older part of town is much nicer, but also includes a big Woolies.

We tried to visit the museum, but it closes at noon Sunday. Like lots of these places it's run by volunteers, so that's OK.

We finished the day with a nice walk on Cable Beach. We didn't see any nudists (they're restricted to the northern end) but we did see a long line of camels.

There were about 20 or so, all lined up to take tourists on a sunset ride. Having had one ride on a camel in my life, I wasn't that keen so we just watched.

Our plans for tomorrow include coming back to watch the sunset.
