Day 53, 23 August 2009, Exmouth

We're keeping driving to a minimum until the fuel pump gets replaced.

Drove out to the end of the Cape and looked at the turtle hatchery (no turtles to be found), the lighthouse and a couple of beaches. Saw whales frolicking off the coast, which is pretty cool.

While chatting with another couple, we were told that Shell had a bad batch of fuel at the Halls Creek Roadhouse. We were through there on the 10th which would be about the right time. I'll talk to the mechanic and maybe chase Shell for the cost of repairs.

Is there a petrol ombudsman? There should be.
