Day 73, 12/9/2009, Margaret River to Albany

Something different: A cold rainy windy drive to Albany.

Albany appears to have spectacular scenery, difficult to discern through howling weather. Our heads were down in the wind and rain.
At the Big 4, the woman behind the counter suggested a small cabin instead of a caravan site. “It’s got a spa.” she told us. We felt some interest. Then she wrapped up the sale with the following: “It’s got an oven. You could have a roast.”

No more convincing was required. Went to Woollies, got a small boneless leg of lamb, garlic, rosemary, spuds, pumpkin and vegies. What a feast!

Plus joy of inside toilet!

  1. Know what you mean. Know how you would have felt. Would have succumbed myself.
